The is a view of the West Chelsea art studio on Sunday afternoon, August 5, 2012. The artworks are stacked against the wall because a collector, who owns a suite of 4 drawings for his apartment downtown, stopped by looking for some new pieces. He interested in buying the drawing on the right.
I continued working on the first Occupy Berlin painting today. This is the 3rd state. It is the first painting I made as part of a new series of paintings entitled, "Occupy Berlin Series". The series was inspired by my trip to Berlin this June. It is a reaction to the 7th Berlin Biennale which I documented.
This is the final state of Occupy Berlin painting number 3, which is part of a Occupy Berlin painting series I started this June after returning from a trip to Berlin and participated in the Berlin Biennale Occupy Museum and documented the Berlin Biennale for Revolt Magazine.

Tree, Leaves, Flowers with red skull. It is a still life painting. Both works are my reflections on the Aurora theater shootings. The tragedy which is symbolized by the flowers and skulls.

I recently bought a couple of Strathmore canvas paper pads, 16 x 20" for drawings. This is a series of 10 drawings from the 2nd pad. There are 10 sheets per pad. The drawings are free form and happen in a brief moment. Each drawing takes about 2 to 3 minutes or less to complete to capture the essence of creativity in drawing. Here are drawings 1 through 5.
