The #Flowers with Still life painting in its third state. Part 2 of the Super Size Painting series, number 17.
This is the 2nd state of the current Black painting. Still working on it. It is an exploration in to the black hole of color & space and aggression. The idea was inspired by Gerhard Ricther's 1962 Table painting.
A view of my West Chelsea studio on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at 1:00 in the afternoon. On the back wall is Super Size Painting No 2. from the Super Size Painting series, which was started in the 2010.
I bought a used freshly painting black stretched canvas from someone who stops by my studio now and than, and sells used stretched to me from other artists, who discard them for what every reason. One of the four I bought was stretched with black gesso. Prefect. This is the first comp pinup state.
Here is a detail photo of the center of the painting. I took this to focus in on the colors, and the abstraction of the painting in close up view.

The is the glue up state of the new Super Size Painting titled "#Flowers with Still Life" which was stated today.
Started working on the Super Size Painting series Part 2 painting this November . Two new paintings al most completed. The first is titled "Red Girl with Still Life" Here is the 1st state. I also started the second one today, title "#Flowers with Still Life". Glue-up state this afternoon.
I worked on the Maker's Mark painting this afternoon, revised it based on the drawings I am currently working on. I like the feel of the colors.
This is the 3rd state of the War Painting. It's a statement about the warring the United States is engaged in all over the world.
