Scotto Mycklebust studio view, setting up for the public open studio tour, October 11,
New York visual artist Scotto Mycklebust's "Everything in the Garden is Rosy Part Two" installation will be on view at the artist's open studio during the High Line Open Studios event Saturday, Sunday, October 17-18, 2015 from 12 - 6 p.m.
Mycklebust's studio is located in the West Chelsea Arts Building, 526 West 26th Street, Studio 511, New York City.
The work on view is a continuation of the "Everything in the Garden is Rosy", a large-scale installation presented at the Jefferson Market Public Library, underground gallery in August.
"I was planning to reinstall the complete "Everything in the Garden is Rosy" installation in the studio for the public open studio tour, But the 12' x 14' room installation would not fit in the studio gallery area. So, I decided to create a new work using the the Flower Clouds wall piece from the installation, and created a series of small 12"x12" paintings, which are about the colors you would find in my magical garden."
Additional "Everything in the Garden is Rosy" series paintings and other artworks are available for purchase during the open studio event.
Stop by and see the premiere exhibition of the "Everything in the Garden is Rosy Part 2".
